About STPI
The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is an autonomous body fostering the development and export potential of the Indian IT sector. Established in 1991 under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) India, STPI acts as a catalyst for innovation, R&D, startups, and product creation in emerging technologies. Since its inception, STPI has significantly contributed to India’s software exports. In 2022-23, STPI-registered units accounted for nearly 50% of national software exports and 2.3% of India’s GDP. It provides infrastructure, skilling, mentoring, market connections, and seed funding through establishing Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) in 24 locations across India.

STPI has expanded its reach across India and has established 11 Jurisdictional Directorates overseeing various regions and 65 Centers spread pan-India. These centers focus on Tier-II and Tier-III cities to promote tech-driven entrepreneurship.
